Alpine & cross country skiing, snow hiking and tobogganing
A variety of winter sport activities for the whole family
Alpinski
We offer three different skiing areas for our guests interested in alpine skiing.
The Sudelfeld area – Germany´s largest connected skiing area – was heavily renovated during the 2015 season. For example a 150.000m3 holding reservoir was build, through which the 31 km of prepared slopes can be optimized through snow cannons. You can enjoy the broad slopes in front of an imposing mountainside, an area assured of snow that offers variety for the whole family.
The Sudelfeld with it´s 21 lifts, 3 of those are chairlifts, is especially well suited for families and beginners, but even experienced riders will find what they need. Further information under: www.sudelfeld.de

The Wendelstein offers challenging slopes for the advanced skier, which can be comfortably reached by cable car. Further information under: www.wendelsteinbahn.de.
Cross country skiing – over 100km of trails around Bayrischzell
In Bayrischzell you will find an extensive network of cross country trails, which will lead you through snowy landscapes and in beautiful valleys. This network begins directly across from our hotel and offers you through the Bayrischzell Cross Country Center (DSV Nordic Aktiv Zentrum) over 100 km of prepared trails, around 50 km for classic technique and around 50 km for Skating.

You can get the map in paperform at the front office.
Tobogganing
Bob sledding fans will be happy with a choice of slopes around Bayrischzell. The website of Bergfex offers further information about these locations. Here you can find presentations for whole bob sledding tours as well.
Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing is experiencing nature in it´s purest form. Away from prepared slopes, in an untouched winter landscape, you can experience winter in it´s most beautiful form. Local mountain guides offer the opportunity to get to know this sport and to forget our daily lives for a moment.
But there are also two marked snowshoeing trails in Bayrischzell. You can walk these trails without guides and explore the untouched nature on your own.
